Call for university students
We are pleased to announce that the Hybridart Camp 2024, an international art camp aimed at promoting conscious consumption and sustainability through the visual arts, will take place again from 3-8 September 2024. This year, in collaboration with the University of Pannonia, we are looking forward to welcoming applications from students from home and abroad to create something lasting together in the spirit of environmental protection and sustainable development.
Why participate?
The Hybridart Camp offers a unique opportunity to try your hand at creating art that emphasises environmental awareness and the importance of upcycling. This year's installation will be based on building nets, the nets used to cover the scaffolding of buildings, offering a unique texture and visual opportunity for artistic creation. The installation created here will be shown in several national and international venues.
The story of Hybridart Camp:
The story of the camp started in 2016 in Pannonhalma, where the participating artists built a 4-meter high dinosaur from more than 4000 plastic PET bottles on the theme "Circle of Life". This installation was exhibited not only in Hungary but also in Abu Dhabi. In the years that followed, the camp's works were exhibited at venues such as the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter in Pécs and Dubai Design Week. Each year we have explored a new and inspiring theme, such as the protection of living water, recycling, or the symbolism of a chess-mate climate. For details and pictures of previous years' creations, visit hybridart.com.
