Through the development of its scientific environment and numerous international collaborations, the University of Pannonia has secured a spot in the distinguished 1001–1250 range of the THE rankings, which list 1,500 institutions comprising the top 5 percent of universities worldwide. The rankings are based on five pillars: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry partnership, and international outlook, with the weighting of each pillar tailored to the characteristics of different fields. For example, the ranking achieved in engineering significantly relies on research productivity. Over the past year, more than 181 publications have been published in the highest-quality (Q1) scientific journals.

Industry collaboration also contributes significantly to the score, translating academic success into practical applications that advance science while ensuring direct market relevance. A prime example is the uniquely complex reactor hall in Hungary, created through the joint professional efforts of the University of Pannonia and MOL Plc., where we carry out joint R&D developments of strategic importance to the industry. Together with MVM Ltd., we are developing innovative solutions to address hydrogen storage challenges, thereby contributing to the more efficient integration of renewable energy sources. In collaboration with eCon Engineering Ltd., we are working on rotor and structural material development technologies to improve wind turbine efficiency. Partnering with Veolia Water Hungary Ltd., we support sustainable water management and environmental goals through innovative water treatment solutions.

Our students' excellence is also well-demonstrated by their recent success at the STEP (Smart Talented Engineer Project) competition organized by BorsodChem Ltd., where teams from the University of Pannonia achieved second and third places.

These achievements, along with our outstanding R&D&I results, clearly show that choosing the University of Pannonia is a great decision, further supported by the employment data from the Graduate Career Tracking System (DPR).
