Digital Innovation at the University of Pannonia

A project with a total budget exceeding 4 billion HUF, implemented under the Széchenyi Plan Plus program, aims to achieve the comprehensive development of the University of Pannonia through infrastructure and equipment modernization as well as advancements in training and skill development. As part of the non-refundable grant, a 166-million-HUF investment has brought a new digital education system to the campuses in Veszprém and Zalaegerszeg.

Within the framework of the project, 21 classrooms across the two campuses have been renovated and equipped with interactive displays, professional conference cameras, and wireless presentation systems. The innovation is designed to effectively support fully online, blended learning, and hybrid education formats, fundamentally transforming the daily practices of university education.

Krisztina Görögné Kővári, Deputy Director of the Development and Project Directorate and project manager, stated at a press conference introducing the initiative: “The comprehensive development creates a modern learning environment for students, aligning with the expectations of the digital age. It enhances the quality of education and contributes to students' success in the labor market.” She added that the investment not only modernizes the university’s faculties but also strengthens the competitiveness of the region.

The project is scheduled to be fully completed by April 30, 2026, but the ongoing developments are already having a significant impact on university life and the region's economic growth. Supported by the Széchenyi Plan Plus program, these advancements mark a new era for the University of Pannonia, offering fresh opportunities for both students and educators.
