To be eligible for university studies in Hungary, a student must fulfill several requirements for the chosen course or programme. There are general entry requirements that apply to all applicants, as well as specific requirements tailored to the particular course they wish to pursue.
To be accepted into a bachelor's (first cycle or undergraduate) programme,
You must have completed your upper secondary (high school) education
There is no age limit, but you must be at least 18 years old by the start of your enrollment
And meet the minimum language proficiency requirements.
To be accepted into a master's (second cycle or graduate) programme,
You must hold a Bachelor's degree from an internationally recognized university
And meet the minimum language proficiency requirements.
And meet the minimum credit requirements.
To be accepted into a PhD programme,
You must possess a Master’s degree from an internationally recognized university
And meet the minimum language proficiency requirements
To be accepted into a postgraduate programme,
You must possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an internationally recognized university
And meet the minimum language proficiency requirements

Proficiency in Hungarian is not a requirement for international students enrolling in English-taught programmes at the University of Pannonia. However, picking up some Hungarian can be beneficial for interacting with locals, even though most young people and your professors will speak English.
A strong command of English is essential for enrolling in courses taught in English. For international programs at the University of Pannonia, please refer to the program description for specific language requirements.
You are not required to submit an official English test result if you meet any of the following criteria:
Your major or minor is in English, meaning your field of study is English language, linguistics, or literature.
You have completed your high school or undergraduate studies in English.
You are a native English speaker (a copy of your passport is required as proof).
The documents required for submission with your application may vary depending on the funding type, but generally, you will need the following
A valid passport
Scanned copies of your academic transcripts and certificates (high school diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent).
Certified translations of these documents into English if not already in these language.
Proof of English language proficiency (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent).
A motivation letter explaining your academic goals and reasons for choosing the University of Pannonia.
A current CV/resume detailing your education, work experience, and skills.
Recommendation letters (if required by your program).

The Hungarian State Scholarship offers financial support to international students pursuing higher education in Hungary. This scholarship covers tuition fees, provides a monthly stipend to assist with living expenses, and includes health insurance. Eligibility depends on the existence of a bilateral agreement between Hungary and the student’s home country.
