Please make sure to arrive on time before your studies start.
The autumn semester starts at the beginning of September.
The Spring semester usually starts at the beginning of February.
The International Mobility Office will send you all the necessary information and dates to mind.
Hungary has one international airport, The Liszt Ferenc International Airport in Budapest, which is a well-connected transportation point. Then students have 3 public transport routes to choose from when getting from Budapest to the Campuses.
Budapest Airport (BUD), the largest and most important international airport in Hungary, also known as Ferenc Liszt International Airport, is located 16 kms southeast of Budapest city center.
100E – a direct bus line connects the airport from Terminal 2 to Deák Ferenc Square in the city center. The bus operates in both directions every 20 minutes from 05:00 to 01:20. The ticket costs 1500 HUF (3.75 euros) and the journey lasts around 45 minutes. Take off at the stop Kálvin square, take metro line 4 to Kelenföld railway station and buy a direct train ticket to Veszprém!
200E – connects the airport with KőbányaKispest railway station, where you can take a direct train to Veszprém. Also, if you’d like to spend some time in Budapest, take metro line 3 to reach the city center. 200E bus leaves every 10 minutes, from 04:00 to 23:00 from Terminal 2, it costs 350 HUF.
In case you are arriving to one of the main train stations of Budapest, try to get to either Déli pályaudvar (South Railway Station) or Kelenföld to get a direct train to Veszprém. You can find the train schedule in English here: https://www.mavcsoport.hu/en
The enrollment week is normally held in the beginning of September and February, when each accepted student should be here at the University of Pannonia to enroll themselves for the next academic year / semester.
Only after the enrollment can students visit the Immigration Office. Students will receive more information about their enrollment procedure from the International Mobility Office.
Once you have enrolled as a student of the University of Pannonia, you will need to find the immigration office. We recommend students to visit the immigration office with their student mentor.
Upon the students arriving in Hungary with an initial single entry visa the residence permit application must be submitted within 30 days.
Thus applicants need below documents to get residence permit.
Erasmus + students
If you are an Erasmus + student you do not need to apply for a student card. You will receive a temporary certificate document from the International Mobility Office, which students will need to prolong every two months.
Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship students
Students with SH scholarships will need to request and fill out an application form to enter the ‘NEK’ - National Card System. Students will need to fill out their profile on the Neptun system as well. The International Mobility Office can help with the process, but students are responsible for giving the correct data and information in order to successfully apply for a student card.
Stipendium Hungaricum Students must open a bank account and request a tax number themselves, since they can only receive their financial contribution once these are arranged. Students must notify the International Office of their bank account numbers and tax numbers.
When you are an Erasmus + student you do not need to open a bank account or apply for a tax number.
We recommend self-funded students to open a bank account and apply for a tax number if they are looking to work next to their studies.
Only students with Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship will need to apply for their Social Security Number (SSN) or (in Hungarian) TAJ number. After arranging their accommodation and registering themselves at the immigration office, the International Office at the University of Pannonia will request their SSN.
Please note: Requesting a SSN number is only possible after notifying the International Office Of your residence permit from the Immigration Office

Upon your request, you will get connected with a Hungarian and an international mentor even before coming to Hungary. Mentors are students themselves, and they are happy to answer your questions about the university and the city and assist you with different kinds of issues, such as administrative processes and paperwork. Besides, many exciting intercultural events are organized within the mentor programme, such as board games, movie nights, picknicks, and other activities. There you can not only make new friends, but also learn more about Hungary and the cultures of each other.

University Days of Veszprém
1969 may remind some people of the year of the moon landing, but for the majority of the local students of Veszprém, this year is the first year when the University Days of Veszprém (VEN) were organized! The country's first series of University Days are held every two years and have become the most important hallmark of student life at the University of Pannonia, with a campaign lasting for several months. 4 teams of students competing in different fields, own concerts, high-quality shows, a parade that mobilises the whole town and the election of the Student Rector of the University of Pannonia at the end of the event.
Faculties' ball
A traditional way to get to know your colleagues better, students from other year groups and your lecturers at an event where, after the formal elements, you can enjoy the fun of the Faculties Ball.
Freshers' ball
Or Stork Ball as we call it. The stork is a migratory bird that flies to warmer climates when the cold weather arrives. At the University of Pannonia of course it is not the case, the decorated lobbies create quite a hot atmosphere every year to make the freshmen, and older students feel at home, recite the Oath of Freshmen and to get ready for partying until the morning- all dressed up for the event.
