In February 2025, the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pannonia obtained the AACSB accreditation—the most internationally recognized and longest-standing quality assurance in business education, celebrating its 110th anniversary next year. With this achievement, the faculty has entered the "Premier League" of business schools.
AACSB accreditation is a student-centered quality assurance system that places the greatest emphasis on the development of students' skills. Earning AACSB accreditation confirms that the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pannonia provides an outstanding environment for students to acquire the competencies needed for success through innovative curricula, extracurricular activities, and a supportive atmosphere. This accreditation signifies that the Faculty of Business and Economics has joined the ranks of the world’s leading business schools that offer outstanding business education and research, having demonstrated its excellence through a rigorous international accreditation process. During the on-site visit in November 2024, a peer review team consisting of deans from renowned international business schools confirmed that the faculty meets the high standards of AACSB. Their decision was subsequently approved by two additional AACSB committees in February 2025. To date, only six percent of universities worldwide have obtained the most prestigious accreditation for business schools. In Hungary, the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pannonia is the second institution to achieve this distinction. The mission of the faculty is to educate global citizens who can create positive change in both local and international business environments. To achieve this, the faculty offers high-quality, practice-oriented education, with a strong emphasis on its extensive corporate network. Through real-world business problem-solving, students gain up-to-date knowledge and relevant skills.
With the globally recognized AACSB accreditation, the number of international students at the Faculty of Business and Economics is expected to increase, benefiting Hungarian students as well by providing them with an international learning environment "at home."
“We are delighted and honored to have achieved AACSB accreditation, and we are confident that the journey to this milestone has been just as valuable to us as the outcome itself! Our goal is to provide excellent business education worthy of AACSB membership while making a positive societal impact,” said Dr. Beáta Fehérvölgyi, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pannonia.
Obtaining AACSB accreditation also means that a degree from the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pannonia is now even more valuable and recognized both in academia and the business world, in Hungary and internationally.
